Today the House Judiciary Committee reintroduced the Innovation Act. I am optimistic that this bill will get overwhelming bipartisan support again in Congress. With so many diverse businesses facing abusive patent litigation and the President and Administration previously having weighed in calling for reforms, momentum is building for a vote in both chambers with broad bipartisan backing this Congress. As CCIA’s CEO Ed Black said earlier today: “Curbing the abuse of our patent system is an economic issue that all industries and political parties can easily support.”
