More Troubles for Intellectual Ventures as Detkin Leaves

Here’s some schadenfreude for your Monday: seems that Peter Detkin is leaving Intellectual Ventures. As I noted about a year ago, IV has been having a tough time, although it’s not clear why Detkin is stepping down.

Now I can’t vouch for the following video’s authenticity, but I have heard that this is actual footage of the discussion between Nathan Myhrvold and Peter Detkin (I think that’s Nathan dressed in black, and Peter is the executive on the left):
