Earlier this week we got an update on the FTC’s patent trollAn entity in the business of being infringed — by analogy to the mythological troll that exacted payments from the unwary. Cf. A study by Lex Machina was also released this week, which “shows that patent lawsuits appear to be more numerous—and more concentrated—than ever before.”
This week we also reported on the 46 states that support taking action against patent trolls, and updated our interactive guide to state patent reform legislation that launched last Friday.
