Over 2 dozen organizations from diverse industries support making CBM widely available

Today a group of 26 organizations (including CCIA) sent a letter to the House and Senate Judiciary Committee leadership endorsing legislation to make Covered Business Method review more widely available in order to help combat patent trolls. The organizations represent a wide variety of industries, including airlines, supermarkets, hotels, chain restaurants, realtors, retailers, and the gaming industry. The organizations have as members over 30,000 companies that employ tens of millions of American workers.

As I’ve written before, CBM review is a more cost-effective alternative to litigation and provides an important tool for disarming patent trolls.

Tim Lee has a great article at the Washington Post about the letter, too.

There’s a hearing in the House tomorrow on patent reform, so please Tweet your support!
